1. Objective

The objective of the system is to produce a demonstration system of online geo-spatial data service that user can search and access the data through various methods: text search, geo-location search, and meta-data search. The applications of the data will be for any studies that can utilize these data sets.

The data will consist of satellite images, aerial photographs (Williams-Hunt collection) and historical maps.

Since the data is geo-spatial data that the size is quite large. The database engine may need to customize the data according to the user request. For example, the original data may be cut to small size, mosaic to get one piece of data, etc.
